What we collect
When you RSVP we collect your name, email address, optional mobile number, emergency contact name and mobile number, your stated hiking experience and intended pack weight, and your waiver and consent selections.
Why we collect it
To register you for a ruck, send you private trail logistics, contact you about changes or cancellations, and reach your emergency contact if something happens on the trail.
Email updates
RSVP confirmations and trail logistics are transactional and go to everyone who signs up. Optional trail briefs and reminders are only sent to men who check the email consent box. Every non-essential email includes an unsubscribe link.
SMS updates
Text messages are strictly opt-in through a separate checkbox and are never a condition of attending. Expect roughly 2–4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented or shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that operate the site: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider and our SMS provider. We do not sell your information.
Retention and your choices
We keep RSVP records for group safety and continuity. You may request access, correction or deletion of your information at any time by emailing mail@meetmeonthetrail.net.
Children
Meet Me On The Trail is for adult men. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
